The Halcyon. 3DsMax Vray Glass Tower. [2014]

The Halcyon – The invisible building.
This neo-futuristic building is a result of a multitude of inspirations.
Got the idea of the Glass element from an ice cube starting to melt. Unlike the normal hard edged glass towers, this has smooth contours. The red elongated structures are inspired by Zaha Hadid’s style of architecture and post production is inspired by MIR’s foggy natural lighting style.

3Dsmax, Vray, Photoshop.
Zaha's buildings are distinctively neofuturistic, characterized by
the "powerful, curving forms of her elongated structures" with
"multiple perspective points and fragmented geometry to evoke the
chaos of modern life".
MIR is a creative studio that specialises in portraying unbuilt
architecture and has a very unique style of their own. In their own
words "Natural visualisation is our way of honouring each architect
and each piece of architecture."
